I chose to sing “Albulena” because Albania and Kosovo have a special place in my heart. Even though I am Romanian, I feel a deep connection with your history, your wounds, your strength, and your love for freedom.
This cover is my way of bowing my head with respect to the Albanian people everywhere in the world – in Albania, in Kosovo, and in the diaspora. It is a musical embrace, a thank you for your culture, your music and the way you keep your identity alive.
